Preventing Problem Behavior

The primary focus of a universal PBIS system is to prevent problem behavior from occurring in the first place. The tools, documents and approaches to help develop a coherent system of prevention include behavioral expectations, a behavioral matrix, a teaching plan, a recognition plan, family engagement, data-based decision-making and collaborative teaming.
